To celebrate their 10th anniversary, they partnered with their neighbor, Pendleton, which happens to be the oldest and most famous woolen mill in the United States.

The couple’s dream: to create a limited-edition blanket called the Northwest Wool Throw using pure Oregon-sourced wool and with the final weave at Pendleton’s historic Washougal mill.

"Unlike other companies that claim their products are made in the U.S.A. based on where their cotton is grown or their bedding is sewn,Authenticity50offers sheets that are made domestically from seed to stitch. The cotton is grown in the San Joaquin Valley; the thread is spun in Georgia; and the fabric is woven, cut and sewn in the Carolinas."

"The Authenticity 50 A50 Duvet Cover was a previous pick, but as of December 2021, it has been mostly unavailable for over a year. If the stock issues get resolved, we’ll add it back in as a pick. If you find it in stock, we still think it’s a great duvet cover. Weighing just under 2 pounds, it’s the lightest percale cover we tried (compared with 3 pounds for both the Brooklinen and Restoration Hardware covers, two other lightweight options), but it’s still comfortable and warm to sleep under. We also appreciate that everything on this cover, from the buttons to the corner ties, is made in the United States.

"The problem most consumers face when buying towels is the limited information on labels and packaging, making it hard to know exactly what you’re getting. “Industry brands have done a good job of obfuscating the facts, offering few details,” says Jimmy MacDonald, co-founder of Authenticity50, which offers cotton home goods."

"Online shoppers “are often confused or concerned about where the products come from,” Jimmy MacDonald, co-founder of Authenticity50, said by email. They “can be misled to believe that an item is made here, because the company is based in the USA, or the item may be ‘designed in the USA.’ ”

“Every consumer has a right to know what they are buying, and retailers have a responsibility to provide honest transparency and clear information,” MacDonald said."
